Do not disturb I am disturbed enough already

I just booked a flight to Oslo and noticed that under Meal Options alongside Vegetarian, Non-dairy and various religious preferences was the intriguing option of Bland so of course I immediately selected it.

I simply can not imagine how plastic airline fare could be made any more bland.

Will a cabin stewardess really waltz down the aisles demanding 'Did anyone ask for a bland meal ?'

Ricky Gervais is one of my favourite comedians (The Office, Extras) and has produced the first in a series of podcasts for The Grauniad with Stephen Merchant (co-writer) and Karl Pilkington (who has a hard time).

The podcast is 30 minutes of chat and improvisation but very funny.

Recently, I was watching my daughter doing some homework on the PC and noticed that she was listening to music from a radio stream over the Internet, talking to her friends in real-time using Instant Messenger, uploading photos of her holiday to her Web page, ripping music from a CD ready to copy on to an MP3 player and integrating an chart from Excel spreadsheet into a Word document.

A couple of things struck me:-

• Females are indeed better at multi-tasking than men.
• Where was the homework ?
